Changes to TIH Content Categories - Cruises, Venues,Walking Trails, Bars & Clubs

Details of the changes from 23 October 2024 are as follows:

1. Changes to Content Categories

The four categories will be removed on TIH.

1. Cruises
2. Venues
3. Walking Trails
4. Bars & Clubs

Tourism offerings within Cruises, Venues and Walking Trails will be deleted, while majority of the tourism offerings in Bars & Clubs will be moved into the different categories as follows:

• Bars will be moved into Food and Beverage category, under the Bars subcategory
• Clubs will be moved into Attraction category, under the Others subcategory

Relevant media assets for the above four categories will be retained and moved into other media categories where applicable.

 

2. Changes to APIs

2.1 APIs that will be discontinued:

Content User APIs for extracting content and Content Provider APIs for contributing content in affected categories willbe discontinued from 23 October 2024.

  • Search Bars and Clubs By Keyword or UUIDs
  • Search Venues By Keyword or UUIDs
  • Search Walking Trails By Keyword or UUIDs
  • Search Walking Trails Details By UUID
• Content Provider APIs
  • Create, Update, Delete Cruises
  • Create, Update, Delete Bars and Clubs
  • Create, Update, Delete Venues
  • Create, Update, Delete Walking Trails and Walking Trails Details
• Refer section 2.2 below for other API changes related to the discontinued categories

 

2.2 Other related API changes to note:

The following related APIs will not be able to retrieve listings from the discontinued categories (Bars & Clubs, Cruises,Venues, Walking Trails) from 23 October 2024 :

• Content User APIs
  • Search Multiple Datasets By Keyword
  • Search Content within Precinct By Precinct UUID
  • List Datasets
  • List Content Types
• Enhanced Navigation APIs
  • Search Map By Multiple Datasets
  • Experiential Route By Mode
• Recommendation Engine API
  • Get Recommendation
• Media User APIs
  • Search Libraries By Keyword or UUIDs
  • Search Media By Keyword or UUIDs
  • List Media Content Types
• Media Provider APIs
  • Create and Update Libraries
  • Create and Update Images, Videos, Document

Changes to the " dataset " and " category " parameters for the above APIs:

• These values relating to the discontinued categories will no longer be supported: [ bars_clubs, cruises, venues,walking_trails ]
• The supported values when the API changes are effected will be: [ accommodation, attractions, events,food_beverages, precincts, shops, tours ]

 

What you need to do:

• Ensure that your application has been modified and tested to remove the discontinued categories
• Deploy changes before 23 October 2024
