Content APIs - A wider variety of APIs

We have enhanced our Contribution and Extraction APIs to support multi-languages by querying a new parameter i.e., language. In addition to English, you can now contribute content in Chinese, Japanese and Korean for Attractions and Walking Trails; this will be progressively implemented for the remaining content categories on TIH e.g., Accommodation, Events, etc. For a full list of APIs affected by this change, click here

Content APIs - Enhancements to content field: Opening Hours

Improvements have been made to TIH’s Opening Hours by replacing the existing free text format with a structured data format, allowing your applications to filter content based on opening hours. Both existing and new data formats will be available via Extraction APIs for three months; after which, they will be deprecated. Map APIs

We are also introducing an Experiential Route API which you can use to build smart navigation applications for visitors. This API can be tapped on to serve up various points of interests, coupled with a recommended commuting route, by simply specifying the start and end points of the journey.

Media APIs - Auto-tagging to improve content discoverability

Images uploaded will be automatically tagged, reducing the effort you need to tag your images. You can even add on to these tags from a pre-curated list so as to further improve the discoverability of your content. For a full list of APIs affected by this change, click here.
